2. Former Prime Minister of India Shri H.D. Deve Gowda ji thanks TSM for inviting him to be the Chief Guest for 'Tansen Sangeet Pratibha Pratiyogita-2004' which was held on the 18th and 19th September 2004 at Shri Ram Auditorium, New Delhi. 3. Srimati M.S.Subbulakshmi, Bharat Ratna awardee and Ramon Magasaysay award winner expresses her prayerful good wishes for the success of all TSM's noble endeavours.

Srimati M.S. Subbulakshmi, a renowned carnatic vocalist was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour in 1974, with the citation reading, "EXACTING PURISTS ACKNOWLEDGE SRIMATI M.S. SUBBULAKSHMI as the leading exponent of classical and semi-classical songs in the Karnataka tradition of South India. She also sang innumerable devotional songs in many Indian languages which are very popular and people listen to them with great reverence, to the day.
